FAQs
We know you may have questions before visiting Rathmines Eye Centre. Here are some of the most common queries our patients ask.
Do I need an appointment for an eye test?
Yes. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, though we do our best to accommodate urgent needs.
How often should I have my eyes tested?
Adults should have an eye test every two years, or more frequently if recommended by an optometrist. Children and people with specific eye conditions may need more regular check-ups.
Can I use my PRSI or Medical Card for an eye test?
Yes. Eligible patients with PRSI or Medical Card entitlements may be entitled to a free eye test and sometimes a contribution towards glasses. Our team can check your eligibility and advise you.
What brands of frames and lenses do you carry?
We stock a variety of designer and everyday frames, along with high-quality lenses tailored to your prescription and lifestyle. Visit us in-store to view our full collection.
